Topwater Kingdom, il regno della pesca di superficie. Dal 1997 Yoshio Kondo costruisce e inventa esche per la pesca di superficie, il suo marchio si chiama God Bless Factory e produce esche in legno per il black bass e canne specifiche per la pesca topwater. La pesca di superficie in Giappone è una vera religione già molto praticata negli anni 70, ma questo stile è diventato molto popolare negli anni 90 con i tornei di pesca al black bass.
L’inizio della God Bless Factory
parte più di dieci anni fa, nel 1998 quando Yoshio inizia a vendere le sue esche nei mercati di Tokyo, da allora i legni tagliati e le forme si sono evolute e la sua tecnica di costruzione migliorata costantemente con il tempo. L’essenza preferita da questo costruttore è il cipresso giapponese facile da modellare e con una grande resistenza all’acqua, ogni esca è intagliata totalmente a mano e di tempi per dipingere ogni esca sono normalmente di un ora o due, per poi passare alla resina uretanica che protegge l’esca e ne preserva le livree.
La produzione è divisa in lotti di 100-200 pezzi per volta e solo per intagliare le esche grezze ci vogliono circa 4 mesi. La tecnica preferita da Kondo San è ovviamente la pesca topwater per la precisione a walking the dog!
Oltre alla creazione di Topwater lures, dal 2000 God Bless Factory produce anche canne da pesca e gli inizi come tutte le cose sono passati attraverso prove e errori e passo per passo Yoshio è arrivato al risultato tanto cercato, i blank utilizzati all’inizio erano quelli della lamiglas che al momento offrivano le caratteristiche cercate dal suo ideatore, mentre ora i grezzi vengono prodotti su commissione direttamente a Tokyo.
L’azione di queste canne si rifà alle classiche canne da topwater americane degli anni 50-70 con un azione lenta in modo da poter muovere meglio le esche in superficie. Al momento in catalogo sono presenti due modelli, tutti e due lunghe 6ft, una con lure cast di un oncia prodotta totalmente in vetroresina e una 7/8 concepita in fibra di carbonio, il concetto di costruzione è lo stesso ma il diverso utilizzo di materiale rende le canne differenti. Fantastico il nome del brand e della sua linea di artificiali che spiega veramente la passione di questo uomo per la pesca più spettacolare che esista......
