Parliamo delle creazioni del giovane Kunio Otemori fondatore della GINEI Handmade Lures, un giovane costruttore di soli 25 anni capace di creare delle esche che sono delle stupende opere d’arte. Questo lurebuilder nipponico non si occupa di costruzione, per hobby come tanti altri, ma ne ha fatto una professione, nativo della città di Ibaraki, Kunio crea le sue opere dal legno di Hiba

 un cipresso endemico del Giappone chiamato anche Albero della vita, usato anche per costruire gli aquiloni ma possiamo trovarlo come ornamento nei giardini dei templi nipponici. Il legno di questo albero è famoso per essere molto duro e profumato e avere una grande resistenza all’acqua, viene infatti impiegato per la costruzione di ponti, banchine e imbarcazioni, questa pianta ha inoltre un’azione fungicida, grazie all’olio essenziale presente nel suo legno, olio che viene estratto per l’industria cosmetica. Kunio oltre a questa preziosa essenza, per le sue opere utilizza anche madre perla che donano ai suoi lavori un azione riflettente molto naturale oltre che un gran bel risultato a livello estetico. 

Queste esche sono fatte per durare nel tempo e sono destinate alla pesca alle spigole asiatiche e al bluewater rivolto ai tonni, quindi niente è lasciato al caso e i tempi di produzione per ogni singola creazione possono superare i venti giorni. 

Solitamente sono abituato a fare una certa cernita dei lavori custom made che mostro in questo spazio, una selezione basata solo su parametri di gusto personale, ma devo essere sincero che questa volta non ne sono stato capace, perchè i lavori di Ginei sono mostruosamente belli e ho cercato di mostrarne il più possibile anche a costo di diventare noioso.

We talk about the creations of Kunio Otemori the young founder of the Ginei Handmade Lures, a young builde just 25 year old capable of creating  baits that are beautiful works of art. This Japanese lurebuilder  is not about building a hobby like many others, but made it a profession, a native of the city of Ibaraki, Kunio creates his works from the wood of Hiba, a cypress endemic to Japan also called Tree of Life, used for building kites , but we find it as an ornament in the gardens of Japanese temples. The wood of this tree is famous to be very hard and fragrant and have a great resistance to water, are being used for the construction of bridges, docks and boats, this plant also has fungicidal action, because this essential oil in its timber, oil that is extract for the cosmetic industry. Kunio addition to this precious essence,  the mother of pearl, which give his work a very natural action reflecting not only a great result in terms of aesthetics. 

These baits are made to last and are designed for bass fishing and bluewater fishing to tuna, then nothing is left to chance and production time for each individual establishment may exceed twenty days. 

I usually used to do some sorting work that custom-made  in this space, a selection based only on parameters of personal taste, but to be honest this time I was not able, because the ginei’s works are beautiful and amazing, I tried to show as much as possible even at the cost of becoming boring.
