High Quality Lures from Essen 

Da sempre i prodotti tedeschi sono sinonimo di alta qualità e questo è riconosciuto in qualunque parte del mondo, precisione e qualità tedesche che possiamo trovare anche in queste stupende creazioni made in Essen Germany. Il creatore di queste stupende esche nate per la pesca in acqua dolce si chiama Manuel C. Langkau un biologo marino di 30 anni che costruisce esche per svago, per amore di creare qualcosa con le proprie mani, per sperimentare nuove soluzioni e nuovi materiali. Manuel ha iniziato a costruire esche handmade nel 1994 nel modo più classico, lavorando il legno, il cedro per esattezza e anche se questa rimane una delle soluzione da lui preferite, possiamo trovare anche esche costruite in plastica dura e soft baits. 

I tempi di realizzazione sono lunghi perché tutte le esche prodotte dalla  MCl-Lures (questo è il nome del brand di Manuel) possiedono un’anima interna in acciaio che non è sicuramente un materiale morbido da lavorare. Le prede preferite da questo talentuoso costruttore teutonico sono i lucci ma ama pescare tutti i predatori di acqua dolce, trote lucciperca e aspi, cercando di costruire l’esca migliore per ognuna di questi predatori. 

La tecnica preferita è la pesca con le swimbaits destinata ai grossi lucci, pesca che Dott. Langkau ama per la sua versalità e che descrive in un modo molto chiaro dicendo che è come un giocare con le marionette usando la canna da pesca per dare vita a queste esche. 

Alla mia domanda su quante siano le esche prodotte in un’anno Manuel mi ha risposto che onestamente non le ha mai contate ma sicuramente sono un bel mucchio di esche artificiali!

The creator of these beautiful handmade baits for freshwater fishing is called Manuel C. Langkau, a 30 years old  fishieries biologist  that builds lures  for fun, for the sake of creating something with their hands, to try new solutions and new materials. Manuel has started building handmade baits in 1994 in the classic way, working wood, cedar for accuracy and even if this remains one of the solution he prefers, we can also find lures made of hard plastic and soft baits. 

The lead times are long because all the decoys produced by MCL-Lures (this is the brand name of Manuel) have an inner core of steel that is definitely not a soft material to be processed. The preferred gamefish  of this talented builder Teutonic is the pike but Manuel loves  all predators of freshwater, trouts, perchs, asps and pikeperch, trying to build the best bait for each of these predators.  

The favorite technique of Dr. Langkau is  fishing with swimbaits designed for big pikes, Manuel  loves his versatility and that describes in a very clear saying that is like a play with marionette using the fishing rod to give birth these baits.

 When I asked how many baits are produced in a year Manuel replied that he honestly has never counted but certainly are quite a lot of lures!
